General Guo And His Delegation Visited Jinan Century Park In Shandong Province For Investigation And Research

On July 26, 2023, in order to further deepen the public's awareness of safety and danger, cultivate patriotism, and continuously promote the deepening and implementation of national defense education, in accordance with the relevant deployment of higher-level units, the deputy leader of the Military Civil Integration Reform Leading Group Expert Group, the chief expert of the Military Equipment Theory Research Center of the Equipment College, the doctoral supervisor, and the expert of the Military Equipment Maintenance Expert Group, General Guo, Executive Dean of the Military Civilian Integration Research Institute at Tongji University, and his delegation visited Jinan Century Park in Shandong Province for investigation and research. The Chairman of the China Africa Economic Cooperation and Development Working Committee of the China Association for the Promotion of International Economic and Technological Cooperation, Ye Junyi, Executive Vice Chairman Deng Meng, Chairman Yang Enying of Baihe Group, General Manager Qin Lanlu of Baihe Group, and Deputy General Manager Qiu Lei of Baihe Group accompanied the inspection.

During the inspection process, Yang Enying, Chairman of Baihe Group, took the lead in providing a detailed introduction to the planned area, land use level, and infrastructure construction of the Jinan Century Park plot. She stated that Jinan Century Park is currently accelerating the optimization of its industrial layout, constantly adding energy and momentum, actively introducing high-quality projects, and promoting faster and better transformation and upgrading of the park.

After listening to Chairman Yang Enying's report on the situation of the Jinan Century Park plot, Ye Junyi, Chairman of the China Africa Economic Cooperation and Development Working Committee of the China Association for the Promotion of International Economic and Technological Cooperation, delivered an exchange speech. He said: To achieve the relevant ideas of this cooperation well, firstly, we need to find a good grip and firmly integrate patriotism into the never-ending blood of national defense education. If the youth are strong, the country will be strong. Patriotic education must start from children, and establishing a national defense education demonstration base will help teenagers enhance their sense of identity, belonging, and happiness towards the country. After the inspection, General Guo gave a concluding speech on the situation of this inspection. He pointed out that strengthening national defense education for the whole people has important and far-reaching significance in consolidating the will and strength of the entire people, enhancing the collective force of the whole society to maintain national security, building a strong people's defense line for national security, creating a new situation of national defense and military modernization, and comprehensively building a socialist modernized country. The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the State Council, and the Central Military Commission also clearly pointed out the need to "deepen national defense education for all" in their "Opinions on Strengthening and Improving National Defense Education in the New Era". This is not only the latest mobilization and major deployment for further strengthening and improving national defense education in the new era and new journey. It is also an important guarantee for promoting the peaceful reunification of the motherland and achieving the centenary goal of building the military. To achieve this, we must do practical work from the following three aspects and put in sufficient effort.

One is to enhance the ideological and intellectual nature of youth national defense education. Conduct overall design and system planning for the national defense education base section facing different segments and objects. Adhere to the unity of political and academic rationality, value and knowledge, theory and practice.

The second is to enhance the affinity and experience of youth national defense education. Starting from the curiosity and thirst for knowledge of young people about national defense culture, war history, heroic deeds, military life, weapons and equipment, we should innovate methods and expand channels for carrier construction in the field of base construction.

The third is to promote the normalization and institutionalization of national defense education for young people. Youth national defense education, as a fundamental and strategic task to cultivate new talents who are worthy of the important task of national rejuvenation, should adhere to the normalization and institutionalization of development. Therefore, during the construction of the base, attention should be paid to the organic combination of practicality and scientificity.
