President Ye Junyi introduced that with the deepening of the "the Belt and Road" initiative, the economic and trade development between China and African countries has become increasingly active. Africa needs more "made in China", and China also needs more "African products (oil, mineral raw materials, agricultural and forestry products and resources, etc.)." Bilateral economic and trade development has broad prospects. Under the leadership of the China Association for the Promotion of International Economic and Technological Cooperation, the China Africa Industrial Park will focus on promoting cultural exchange between China and Africa, promoting business and trade between China and Africa. Based on the China Africa Industrial Park, it will build a leading demonstration zone for international trade cooperation between China and Africa, integrating functions such as non economic and trade, cultural exchange between China and Africa, cross-border e-commerce platforms between China and Africa, and vocational training for non personnel. This will lead and drive the in-depth development of national economic and trade with Africa, Build a large platform for "Made in China" to explore the African market.

He introduced that since its establishment on February 22, 2023, the China Africa Economic Cooperation and Development Working Committee has established cooperative relationships with 12 African countries. More than 120 domestic and foreign enterprises and institutions, including Lino Group, Xiaoya Group, Liugong Group, have decided to settle in the industrial park. In the future, the park will carry out cooperation and economic and trade exchanges with Africa in 15 industries, including government networks, urban hydropower, general aviation, agricultural technology, cross-border e-commerce, mineral development, and automobile manufacturing.

Vice Secretary Cha Yuxi highly appreciates the achievements of the China Africa Economic Cooperation and Development Working Committee of the China Association for the Promotion of International Economic and Technological Cooperation. He stated that Jinan University will fully leverage its advantages and engage in in-depth cooperation with the China Africa Industrial Park to jointly promote exchanges and cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, culture, and other fields between China and Africa. Dean Song Qingwei introduced the achievements and advantages of Jinan University in African research from the perspective of academic research. He stated that the African Studies Center of the School of Foreign Languages at Jinan University is committed to regional and country research, with an excellent team and rich experience. He hopes to work closely with the China Association for the Promotion of International Economic and Technological Cooperation (CICEC) China Africa Economic Cooperation and Development Working Committee to jointly contribute to friendly cooperation between China and Africa.
