Chairman Of The China Africa Economic Cooperation And Development Working Committee, Ye Junyi, Visits The Niger Ambassador To China
Recently, Ye Junyi, Chairman of the China Africa Economic Cooperation and Development Working Committee of the China Association for the Promotion of International Economic and Technological Cooperation, visited the Ambassador of the Republic of Niger to China, Mr. Galba Seni, at the invitation of the Embassy of the Republic of Niger in China. This meeting aims to further strengthen economic cooperation between China and Nepal, especially in areas such as healthcare, telecommunications, solar power plants, gold mines, lithium mines, uranium mining development, agriculture, education, medical projects, as well as cooperation in construction, building materials, transportation, and other fields.
Firstly, Mr. Seni expressed deep gratitude to China for its long-term medical assistance in the Republic of Niger. He reviewed China's selfless help in combating the COVID-19 and other major public health events, and stressed that these selfless assistance had a profound impact on the lives and health of the people of the Republic of Niger and economic development.
President Ye Junyi had in-depth and friendly exchanges with Mr. Seni. Both sides jointly discussed multiple cooperation projects, especially in areas such as telecommunications project investment, solar power plant project investment, development cooperation of gold, lithium, and uranium mines, as well as agriculture, education, and medical projects. In addition, the two sides also conducted extensive discussions on cooperation in the fields of architecture, building materials, transportation, etc.
When discussing investment in telecommunications projects, President Ye Junyi stated that China has rich experience and strong capabilities in telecommunications technology, and is willing to provide technical and resource support to the Republic of Niger, help improve its telecommunications infrastructure, and promote the development of the telecommunications industry. Mr. Seni expressed high appreciation and expectations for this.
In terms of investment in solar power plant projects, President Ye Junyi stated that China has made significant progress in solar technology and is willing to jointly develop solar energy resources with the Republic of Niger to provide clean energy and promote sustainable development. Mr. Seni warmly welcomed and supported this.
Regarding the development cooperation of gold, lithium, and uranium mines, President Ye Junyi further stated that China has rich experience and technology in mineral resource development, and we are willing to jointly develop these resources with the Republic of Niger to provide support for its economic and social development. Mr. Seni expressed deep gratitude and anticipation for this.
In addition to cooperation in the business sector, both sides also discussed in-depth cooperation in fields such as agriculture, education, and healthcare. Both sides agree that these areas are key areas of cooperation between China and Nepal, and are also important ways to promote common prosperity for the two peoples.
