Wang Yi expressed his welcome to Mr. Foreign Minister's visit to China on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The friendship between China and Tanzania was personally cultivated and created by the older generation of leaders from both countries. "Lu Yao knows horsepower, and over time we see people's hearts." China Tanzania friendship has laid a solid foundation. Last month, President Xi Jinping and President Hassan exchanged congratulatory messages on the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Tanzania, highly praising the development process and brilliant achievements of bilateral relations. The leaders of the two countries have jointly outlined a new blueprint for the next step in the development of China Tanzania relations, pointing out the direction of efforts. For the past 60 years, China Tanzania relations have always been at the forefront of China Africa relations, setting a model for developing countries to unite, assist and strengthen themselves. China is willing to deepen political mutual trust, strengthen strategic docking, expand practical cooperation, and continuously inject new era connotations into the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Tanzania, guided by the important consensus of the two heads of state.
Wang Yi said that China appreciates the valuable support provided by the Tanzanian side on core interests related to China over the long term, and is willing to continue to firmly support the Tanzanian side in safeguarding sovereignty, security, and development interests, supporting the Tanzanian side in independently exploring development paths that are in line with its own national conditions, and supporting the Tanzanian side in opposing external interference. China is willing to continue close high-level exchanges with Tanzania, continuously enhance mutual understanding and exchange of governance experience, jointly expand the global influence of the China Africa Dar es Salaam Consensus, and make greater contributions to promoting South South cooperation and safeguarding the common interests of the global South. Both sides need to expand cooperation in key areas such as trade and infrastructure, and tap into the potential for cooperation in areas such as processing and manufacturing, digital economy, blue economy, and new energy. Taking the "China Tanzania Tourism and Culture Year" as an opportunity, we will further deepen exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in the field of humanities, and make the people of the two countries closer and closer.
Wang Yi stated that China has always regarded the development of unity and cooperation with African countries as an important cornerstone of its foreign policy. The Forum on China Africa Cooperation is the most important platform and mechanism for strengthening unity and cooperation between China and Africa. Since its establishment 24 years ago, the trade volume between China and Africa has increased by more than 20 times, and China's investment in Africa has increased by more than 100 times. The achievements of China Africa cooperation are evident to all and highly praised by the African people and the international community. The Forum on China Africa Cooperation has become the "golden signboard" of China Africa cooperation and a banner leading international cooperation with Africa. The new Forum on China Africa Cooperation Summit will be held in Beijing this autumn. China sincerely invites Tanzania to join hands with African countries in this grand event, making greater contributions to promoting the construction of a closer community with a shared future between China and Africa.
Makamba stated that the traditional friendship between Tanzania and China is profound. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations 60 years ago, the two countries have always trusted and supported each other. Adhering firmly to the One China policy is the cornerstone of Tanzania's relations with China. Tanzania will continue to steadfastly support China on issues related to China's core interests and major concerns. Tanzania highly appreciates and firmly supports the Xi Jinping President's idea of building a community with a shared future for mankind, the "the Belt and Road" initiative and the three major global initiatives. At the recent China Africa Think Tank Forum held in Tanzania, scholars from more than 50 African countries and their Chinese counterparts jointly proposed the Dar es Salaam Consensus. Tanzania hopes that the international community can listen to Africa's voice and support its development. China is Africa's trusted friend and is willing to work with China to promote the establishment of a more fair and reasonable world economic order. Looking forward to strengthening the exchange of experience in governance and governance with China, deepening mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields, and closely cooperating on international and regional issues. Tanzania will actively participate in this year's Forum on China Africa Cooperation summit and believes that the summit will achieve greater success.
Both sides also had in-depth exchanges of views on international and regional issues of common concern.
