Li Xi Meets With President Luto Of Kenya
On October 16, 2023, Li Xi, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, met in Beijing with President Ruto of Kenya, who came to China to attend the third the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.
Li Xi stated that this year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Kenya. China and Kenya are at the forefront of China Africa cooperation in jointly building the "the Belt and Road". China is willing to implement the important consensus of the two heads of state with Kenya, closely link the joint building of the "the Belt and Road" with Kenya's development strategy, and promote the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries to achieve more new results. Li Xi introduced relevant information about China's efforts to comprehensively and strictly govern the Party and fight against corruption under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core, and expressed his willingness to continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the anti-corruption field between China and Kenya, promote the construction of the clean Silk Road, and help the construction of the "the Belt and Road" to achieve stability and long-term development.
Ruto said that the "the Belt and Road" initiative proposed by Xi Jinping President has brought tangible benefits to the people of Kenya and China. Looking forward to elevating the relationship between the two countries to a new height.
