Togolese President Faure Meets With Wang Yi

On January 17, 2024 local time, Togolese President Faure met with visiting member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi at a meeting in Lom é.

Togo appreciates China's hosting of justice internationally, opposing interference in African internal affairs, and playing an indispensable role in promoting peace and development in Africa. African people need friends like China to take care of Africa's reality, listen to Africa's demands, and never impose their own will on others. As a beneficiary of African China cooperation, Togo always believes in China and will adhere to promoting friendly traditions and deepening cooperation in various fields. In today's turbulent world, Africa faces new challenges for peace and development, and China's support and strengthening of Africa China cooperation are even more needed.

Wang Yi conveyed the warm greetings of President Xi Jinping , stating that the friendship between China and Vietnam was created by the older generation of leaders, and has been enduring for a long time, becoming a model of South South cooperation. China will strengthen the coordination of development strategies with multiple parties and support Togo in achieving sustainable development. China understands and believes in Africa.
