Zhao Leji Meets With Sierra Leone President Bio

On February 28, 2024, Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, met with the President of Sierra Leone, Bio, in Beijing.

Zhao Leji stated that under the leadership of President Xi Jinping and the President, the relationship between the two countries has been running at a high level and cooperation has yielded fruitful results. Zhao Leji introduced the situation of the upcoming Second Session of the 14th National People's Congress, stating that China attaches great importance to cooperation with the Serbian parliament, is willing to strengthen exchanges at all levels of the legislative body, provide better legal protection for bilateral cooperation, promote exchanges in political parties, local areas, humanities and other fields, and share experiences in democratic and rule of law construction.

Biot stated that China is a reliable partner and great friend of Serbia. Serbia attaches great importance to developing relations with China and is willing to strengthen exchanges and practical cooperation in governance and politics with China to benefit the people of both countries.
