Li Qiang Meets With Sierra Leone President Bio

On the morning of February 28, 2024, Premier Li Qiang of the State Council met with Sierra Leone President Bio, who was on a state visit to China, at the Great Hall of the People.

In recent years, under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and Mr. President, political mutual trust between China and Serbia has been continuously strengthened, and cooperation in various fields has yielded fruitful results. Close coordination has been maintained in international affairs, setting a new model of South South cooperation.

Li Qiang pointed out that China is willing to strengthen the docking of development strategies with Serbia, carry out practical and efficient cooperation, orderly promote the construction of key projects and livelihood projects, and provide support to the best of its ability for the economic and social development of Serbia. China is willing to continue dispatching agricultural technology experts to help Serbia cultivate high-quality crops and technical talents, strengthen exchanges and sharing of agricultural policy planning experience with Serbia, and promote further deepening and implementation of agricultural cooperation between the two countries. China is willing to import more high-quality products from Serbia, encourage Chinese enterprises to expand investment in Serbia, and hope that Serbia will continue to provide a good business environment for Chinese enterprises. China is willing to further strengthen cultural exchanges with Serbia in areas such as youth, education and training, medical and health care, and consolidate the public opinion foundation of friendship between the two countries.

Biot stated that Sierra Leone regards China as a trustworthy development partner, with deep traditional friendship and close mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries. Thank you to the Chinese side for providing selfless assistance to Serbia for a long time. The Serbian side adheres to the one China principle, stands ready to firmly support each other with the Chinese side to safeguard core interests, deepen cooperation in infrastructure construction, agriculture, economy and trade, education, health, poverty reduction and other fields under the framework of jointly building the "the Belt and Road" and the Forum on China Africa Cooperation, and promote the comprehensive strategic cooperation partnership between Serbia and China to a new level. Serbia is willing to strengthen coordination and cooperation with China in international and regional affairs, and jointly promote world peace and development.
