Wang Yi stated that China's foreign minister chooses Africa for his first visit every year, a tradition that has been upheld for 34 years and is unique in the history of international exchanges. Because China and Africa are brothers who share the same fate and care for each other. Since entering the new era, President Xi Jinping has put forward the policy concept of genuine, friendly, and sincere towards Africa, as well as the correct concept of righteousness and benefit, leading the construction of a community with a shared future between China and Africa onto the "fast lane". China has become Africa's largest trading partner for 15 consecutive years, and the cake of China Africa cooperation is getting bigger, bringing the hearts of the Chinese and African people closer and closer.

Wang Yi said that currently, the "global south" represented by China and Africa is flourishing, profoundly affecting the process of world history. In this new historical process, China will continue to stand firmly with its African brothers, support Africa in achieving true ideological and conceptual independence, help Africa improve its ability for independent development, and support Africa in accelerating its modernization process.

China has always advocated that Africa should not be marginalized. After the vigorous development of China Africa cooperation, other major powers have also turned their attention back to Africa, and China welcomes this. I hope that all parties, like China, will increase their attention to Africa, increase investment in Africa, and support Africa's development. We are also willing to engage in more tripartite and multi-party cooperation on the basis of respecting the wishes of non parties.

Wang Yi stated that the new session of the Forum on China Africa Cooperation will be held in China this autumn. At that time, Chinese and African leaders will once again gather in Beijing after a six-year gap to discuss future development and cooperation plans, and deepen exchanges of governance experience. I believe that through this summit, both China and Africa will promote traditional friendship, deepen unity and cooperation, open up new horizons for accelerating common development between China and Africa, and open a new chapter for the community with a shared future between China and Africa!
