Zhao Leji Meets With Angolan President Lorenzo

On March 15, 2024, Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, met with Angolan President Lorenzo in Beijing.

Zhao Leji stated that China and Angola are true, sincere and good brothers and partners. China is willing to work with Angola to implement the important consensus of the two heads of state, further consolidate strategic mutual trust, promote the upgrading of practical cooperation, and continuously achieve greater development in bilateral relations. Legislative exchange and cooperation are important channels for enhancing mutual understanding and trust between the two peoples. The National People's Congress of China is willing to strengthen exchanges between high-level legislative bodies, specialized committees, bilateral friendly groups, representatives, and members of parliament with the National Assembly of Angola, providing legal protection for mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
