Ivorian President Ouattara Meets With Wang Yi

On January 17, 2024 local time, Ivorian President Ouattara met with visiting member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi in Abidjan.

We are proud of our friendship with the great China and strong science and technology China relations. China's cooperation in various fields has made remarkable progress, and China has become the largest trading partner and source of investment for science and technology. Thank you to the Chinese side for providing valuable support for the construction of infrastructure and the improvement of people's livelihoods in science and technology. Science and technology will continue to prioritize relations with China and look forward to learning from China's successful experience, expanding cooperation in various fields, and promoting more achievements of the Forum on China Africa Cooperation to be implemented in science and technology, better benefiting the people of both countries.

Ouattara stressed that Cote d'Ivoire has a clear and clear position on the Taiwan issue, that is, there is only one China in the world, and Taiwan is part of China. We will continue to adhere to the One China principle.
