Xi Jinping Talks With President Bio Of Sierra Leone

On the afternoon of February 28, 2024, National President Xi Jinping held talks with Sierra Leone President Bio, who is on a state visit to China, at the Great Hall of the People.

Xi Jinping emphasized that China firmly supports the people of Sierra Leone in pursuing a development path that is in line with their own national conditions, is willing to strengthen governance and political exchanges with Sierra Leone, continue to support each other's major concerns, and safeguard sovereignty, security, and development interests. China is willing to provide assistance and support to the best of its ability for the development of agriculture, infrastructure construction, human resources and other fields in Serbia, and encourage and support Chinese enterprises to invest and develop in Serbia. Both sides should strengthen cooperation in UN Security Council affairs and jointly safeguard the interests of Africa and the vast number of developing countries. Welcome Serbia to actively participate in the Global Development Initiative, Global Security Initiative, and Global Civilization Initiative, and work together to promote the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.

Xi Jinping pointed out that the fate of the Central African people is shared. China has always regarded the development of unity and cooperation with African countries as an important cornerstone of its foreign policy. China will uphold the concept of genuine sincerity, strengthen mutual support and friendly cooperation with African countries, support African industrialization initiatives, assist African agricultural modernization plans, and closely integrate the China Africa talent training cooperation plan with the African Union's 2063 Agenda and the development strategies of African countries. China will further integrate China's development, Africa's development, and the world's development, promote the upgrading of China Africa cooperation, and move the world towards peace A bright prospect of security, prosperity, and progress. Both sides have issued a joint statement on deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Sierra Leone.
