Xi Jinping Exchanged Congratulatory Messages With Tanzanian President Hassan On The 60th Anniversary Of The Establishment Of Diplomatic Relations Between China And Tanzania

On April 26, 2024, National President Xi Jinping exchanged congratulatory messages with Tanzanian President Hassan to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Xi Jinping pointed out that the traditional friendship between China and Tanzania was created by the older generation of leaders from both countries. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations 60 years ago, the relationship between China and Tanzania has withstood the test of international changes and has remained steadfast over time. In recent years, political mutual trust between the two countries has been continuously consolidated, and cooperation in various fields has yielded fruitful results, becoming a model of South South cooperation.

Hassan stated that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Tanzania and China 60 years ago, the unity, friendship, and sincere cooperation between the two countries have continuously deepened. Both sides respect sovereignty and territorial integrity and support each other in bilateral and multilateral affairs. Tanzania admires China's achievements in achieving epoch-making economic and social development, expresses deep gratitude for China's support in the field of development, and will unswervingly support major initiatives such as the "the Belt and Road" initiative and the global development initiative, and strengthen Tanzania China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
